Children Books Privacy Policy
Children Books
Privacy Policy
A kids learning app for letters, numbers, words, listening and learning games.
Effective October 4, 2026 · App version 1.2.0Data collection
Children Books does not collect or transmit any personal information. It does not ask children to create an account and does not collect email addresses, phone numbers, location, contacts, photos, camera data, microphone recordings or payment information.
The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs or social login SDKs.
Information stored on the device
To show progress and the grown-ups report, the app saves the following only on the device, in the app's private storage:
- Learning progress: stars, stickers, finished lessons, practice answers (which words were answered correctly or needed help) and minutes used per day.
- App settings chosen by a grown-up: age range, show words, bedtime mode.
- An optional first name for the child, if a grown-up types one in the Grown-ups settings. It is used only for greetings such as "Great job, Mia!".
This information never leaves the device. Grown-ups can delete it at any time with Grown-ups > Settings > Reset progress, or by uninstalling the app.
Sharing a report
In the Grown-ups area, which is protected by a parent check, a grown-up can share a short text summary of the child's learning (for example minutes, finished lessons and words to practise) using the phone's share menu. The app sends nothing by itself: the summary goes only to the app and person the grown-up chooses.
Device features
The app uses bundled pictures and sounds and the device's Text-to-Speech engine to read words aloud. Text-to-Speech is handled by the speech engine installed on the device.
The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or storage permissions.
External links and parent check
The Grown-ups area and every action that leaves the app (privacy policy, rating, sharing the app, more apps, sharing a report) are protected by a parent check before anything opens.
Children and families
Children Books is made for children and families. It is designed to meet the Google Play Families policies, does not show ads and does not collect personal information from children.
Parents or guardians can contact the developer with privacy questions or requests.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
